Do I need to add a clear coat to a spray painted bike?

I used rustoleum to spray paint my bike. The metallic finish rubs off each time I touch it although it has been dry for a week. Do I just to rub it down throughly with something to take off the excess paint or do I need to add a clear coat?Do I need to add a clear coat to a spray painted bike?

Pep Boys has some good automotive spray paints. If you dont want to spend anymore money, go over it with a rustoleum brand clearcoat. Non compatible clearcoats can eat up or wrinkle the first coat.
