How would i go about spray painting on a plastic tarp without it cracking?

Unfortunately, I don't think that this would work. If you're trying to make a backdrop of some sort, you might want to try painting a canvas tarp instead. How would i go about spray painting on a plastic tarp without it cracking?
If you want to color any plastic part its so easy. All you need is to buy a $6 - $12 can of “vinyl dye”. This is the same stuff that auto places use to dye car interiors. Also it’s the same stuff they use to give plastic its color first of all. It is so easy to do!

How it Works!

Vinyl Dye seeps into the pours of plastic and dyes the plastics color. Unlike spray paint which attaches to the outside. Paint will peal eventually but dye is in the plastic and will stay.

How to Do It!

1. Get the part what ever it may be mask, hopper, etc. Remove

anything you don’t want painted (or tape them over).

2. Wash the part with soap and rinse clean. Let it dry well.

3. First coat should be about 75% covered. Let it dry for 15 min.

4. Second coat should be totally covered. Let it dry for 15 min.

5. Repeat step 4 until you get the color your looking for.

It’s that easy unlike spray paint that needs to be put on evenly. Dye if you do it wrong you just give it another coat and no one can tell. I have been doing this for years on my tarpsHow would i go about spray painting on a plastic tarp without it cracking?
I did this by using an air gun sprayer. It goes on much lighter and you use less paint but the coverage is excellent.
