i bought some earrings the other day but didnt like the colour so i spray painted the fronts of them. i was careful not to get the backs but some paint did get on the backs as well as the pokey bits that go in the hole. i cleaned those bits with turpentine...are the earrings safe to wear? would it help if i seal the spray paint with nail polish?Is it dangerous to wear spray painted earrings?
If all of the paint is off of the earring stud, it shouldn't be a problem. Go ahead and coat the earrings with clear polish if you're worried, since it's not like it's going to cause any harm and it can make your earrings pretty and glossy at the same time.Is it dangerous to wear spray painted earrings?
That's weird that you went through such great lengths to change the color of your earrings. It should be fne, though. It won't infect your ears. Now, if you had a clump of dirt on them....
